After a nose reconstruction, there are often visible scars or a blocked nose that requires surgical correction to optimize its appearance and function. In most cases this can be done with the help of a small correction. Using simple refinement techniques, the stigmata of a reconstructed nose can be hidden. This is a one-stage procedure and with excellent results.
The first photo shows extensive, occluded right nostril reconstruction (alar) performed by another surgeon. Using rhinoplasty and refinement techniques, the reconstruction is improved in one step (see second photo). The airway is now open, breathing improved and the nose more symmetrical by rolling back the nasal tip. The patient is very satisfied.
